5 Master Shots

5 Master Shots by Miguel Rodriguez and Woody Lindor

Contrast: In the video, I walk up to Jonathan and have a morning conversation with him. I give him a compliment, which shows me being nice. As a contrast in the following shot, I push Miguel on the ground to make it seem like I’m mean and rude. This contrast is based off emotions of happiness and resentment.

Parallelism: in this shot, Miguel begins walking to the middle of the courtyard all happily. In the next shot, I come in, also walking towards the middle of the courtyard. This makes it seem like me and Miguel are walking towards each other.

Symbolism: I zoomed into the TV production camera on the pass to symbolize the camera that came in the shot when I zoomed out. The symbolism is that we are in AICE Media and learning about film and TV production.

Simultaneity: Miguel and I looked like we were walking on the same stairs but it was different. We thought that we’d make it a secret to the viewers until the end. When we got to the top, there was a different scenery shown but we were doing the same actions.

Leitmotif: We began stomping our feet to have a rhythm for the race. When we add in the sound, it’ll start making more sense of why we chose the race and the rhythm of our feet. This leitmotif shows that we are doing different things at the same pace.
